Color Punch
okay, i won't lie to you. i didn't know much about Catherine Malandrino except her name until she appeared as a guest judge on Project Runway. but once i did see her there i was smitten. so i waited on bated breath until New York Magazine posted the pictures from her show yesterday.
i wasn't disappointed. i mean, i didn't fall to my knees and proclaim her to be the messiah either, but it's nice. i really like the color choices and her knitwear pieces are so stellar and classic, things you could keep forever and would never go out of style. her work just seems like a contemporary classic all around. maybe it's because she's French or because i suspect she was into Throbbing Gristle when she was young.

HOWEVER, even she wasn't exempt from a trip to Sacktown, and i'm not talking about California's fair capital.
the coat is actually nice but i'd never wear it. mostly because my muffin top probably has more girth than the tailored poof at the bottom. anyway, what the hell is going on with these Hammer pants? i don't care. i'm going to ignore them.
